Klyros Dental Terms of Service

1. Overview
Welcome to Klyros Dental. By accessing our website and using our services you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Who We Are and What We Are Not
Klyros Dental is a facilitator that connects customers with licensed professionals for the creation of custom removable dental appliances. We are not a dental practice, we do not diagnose or treat dental conditions, and we do not provide dental care or medical advice of any kind. All clinical decisions are made exclusively by independent licensed U.S. dentists who review each case through a teledentistry platform.
3. Important Health Requirements
Before placing any order you confirm and represent the following:
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You have received a complete dental examination (including current X-rays) within the past 6–18 months in which your dentist confirmed there is no active decay or gum disease.
- You will schedule and attend a follow-up visit with your own licensed dentist within 30 days after you receive any appliance so they can verify fit and overall oral health.
If you currently have pain, loose teeth, untreated cavities, bleeding gums, or any other oral health concerns, do not order or use our products. Consult your dentist first.
You understand that removable appliances may cause temporary discomfort, pressure, speech changes, increased saliva, or minor irritation during the first few weeks. You also acknowledge that poor oral hygiene while wearing the appliance can lead to tooth decay, gum issues, or staining, and that we are not responsible for any such outcomes.
4. Our Products and Services
We offer both prescription-required removable appliances (such as flexible partial dentures) and certain non-prescription cosmetic items (such as snap-in veneers).
For prescription items:
- You submit impressions/photos and health information.
- A licensed dentist reviews the case remotely and decides whether to approve and prescribe.
- We do not fabricate anything until a valid prescription is issued.
We cannot guarantee approval in every case, and some states may require additional in-person steps.
5. Order Process
You place an order on our site and receive an impression kit (if applicable). You take impressions or photos and submit them to us. For prescription products, a licensed dentist reviews and, if appropriate, issues a prescription. The dental lab fabricates the appliance. The final product is shipped directly to you.
If the appliance does not feel right after delivery:
- Contact us right away. We will guide you through a free adjustment process (most cases only need minor tweaks).
- If, after the adjustment period, you are still not satisfied, return the appliance together with your original mouth models within 60 days for a full refund.
The guarantee does not apply if the appliance shows signs of misuse, improper cleaning, or failure to follow the care instructions provided. We reserve the right to require photos of the appliance before approving any adjustment or remake.
What is NOT covered:
- Lost or stolen items
- Damage from misuse, accidents, or normal wear
- Changes in your mouth after delivery (extractions, new dental work, etc.)
- Any appliance that has been altered by someone outside our lab
Impression kits are non-refundable for health and safety reasons.
6. Limitation of Liability
All products and services are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Klyros Dental and our partners disclaim all warranties and shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including medical costs, pain and suffering, lost wages, or any other losses — even if we have been advised that such damages are possible.
Our total liability to you for any reason will never exceed the amount you actually paid for the specific product involved. This cap applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of larger damages.
You agree to indemnify and hold Klyros Dental harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) that arise because you provided inaccurate information, failed to follow care instructions, or misused the product.
Clinical responsibility for prescription appliances rests solely with the prescribing dentist. Manufacturing responsibility rests solely with the licensed dental laboratory.
7. Returns for Non-Guarantee Reasons
Due to the custom-made nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns once fabrication has started, except for the 60-Day Fit Guarantee or in cases of clear manufacturing defect.
8. Dispute Resolution
Any claim or dispute arising from these Terms, your order, or use of our products will be resolved through binding arbitration in the State of California, administered under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You and Klyros Dental both waive the right to a jury trial or to participate in any class action, class arbitration, or representative proceeding.
9. Time to Bring Claims
You agree that any legal claim related to these Terms or our products must be filed within one (1) year after the date the claim first arose. After that, the claim is permanently barred.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
